Spring in Wyoming....

So I just thought it would be fun to show ya our beautiful spring weather we are having here. Yes Easter is this weekend and the forecast still shows this kind of weather to last all this week and part of next. Oh well in fact it is funny because this is the most snow we have gotten in a very long time, it has been snowing all day and still is. Ahh i guess I should include a sledding trip in our Easter plans. Oh how I miss Phoenix and Florida weather right now.

Bowling

Zach giving a high five to Shay

The kids watching us bowl as they waited their turn
Steel bowling
Steel took this photo of Sophie and I, he loves to take pictures and sometimes they turn out pretty good

This weekend we took the kids bowling at our local bowling alley. It was actually supposed to be Steel and Dad's night out but he is such a sweet boy and always concerned about everyone else so he said he would like everyone to come with him, the kids had a good time I am happy at least our small town is large enough for a bowling alley and a small movie theater. This week we also went to a Harlem Globe Trotters, JV team forgot their name game in Cokeville WY, Shay's work had sponsored part of it up there, and wow it is a small town so when we came home I realized maybe Evanston isn't all that bad after all. Just a side note on our life, Zach also had his dad day and went skiing up in Cokeville with Shay on Saturday and had a good time.

Sophie and Steel put themselves in the time out corner for fun, after seeing Zach go in there. Sophie thinks it must be a fun place despite the screaming from her older brother.

Saturday Sunshine

Zach and Shay looking at ice chunks in the water
Today before it started snowing, we were able to get outside and enjoy a few hours of sunshine. I needed to find some rocks for a Young Women's activity so went on a fun little walk on the Bear River Parkway, in town. Sophie loved that Shay let her out of her stroller for most of it and the boys enjoyed exploring nature and seeing beaver dams and beaver/deer tracks on the snow. I can't wait until spring/summer I need more outdoor sunshine time.

Shay's Birthday

This last week was Shay's 33rd birthday. Unfortunately he had forgotten about his birthday and had planned some meetings for work up north and did come home until 11pm at night. So we celebrated his birthday the day before. He always has me make him a cake and this year he picked one I had never made before, a strawberry Brule Cake. I stressed a little over it, not sure it turned out correctly, but I think it was okay. He enjoyed getting money this year from everyone so he could get some things he needed. I am so glad I have been able to share the last 8 birthdays with him.

It's Good to Wake up Early

We put them to work at a young age, actually Zach really wanted to try and shovel the snow yeah!!
Today we all got up early, I was supposed to head to Park City for Sophies Dr. Appt but when we got up we noticed that we got a little bit of snow and the roads were to bad for me to drive to Park City. However Zach and Steel didn't' mind one bit and hurried up to put on their snow clothes to go play before school started. It has been a few months since we got good snow so other than the road trip canceled we are hoping it continues so we can get another sledding trip in before winter is over.

Airplane museum

This past weekend we went to the Airplane Museum by Hill Air Force Base. Unfortunately I forgot to bring my camera so my cell phone pictures turned out a little blurry but still fun to see a little bit of it. The kids had a good time seeing all the planes and helicopters and I loved it because it was free got to love free museums.
