Easter Egg Hunt....at Grocery Store

The kids with their loot. I think we have enough candy for a very long time, needless to say after the Egg Hunt at Smiths we decided we were good and did not need to brave the below 0 temperatures and snow for the Easter egg hunt in town.

We had a fun Easter weekend despite the very non spring weather. In fact we woke up on Saturday to 3 more inches of snow and got another inch or so Easter Morning and more last night yuck!!! But we still manged to celebrate Easter despite the bad weather. Smiths grocery store in town had an Easter Egg Hunt early Saturday morning and since my kids are early risers we decided to go to it. They had different isles set up with candy and eggs for age groups. Sophie was not sure what to do but eventually got into it she mainly picked the lollipops her favorite, Steel and Zach did great on their lanes too. Zach being knowledgeable on Easter Egg Hunts and not being a huge candy fan, was not fooled by the candy but went straight for all the eggs and grabbed every one while Steel and the other kids focused on the candy, Zach then went back for the candy. In the end it turned out that the eggs had some good prizes in them. Zach won the grand prize, the wagon filled with sand toys and he got money and lots of coupons for free soda and chips and juice bars. So we decided we didn't need to go the other Easter egg hunt in town that would have the kids hunting for eggs in the snow. Later in the day the boys and Shay decorated eggs and of course the Easter Bunny stopped by our house while the kids were sleeping, even though we couldn't find their Easter baskets in the storage unit. We also enjoyed watching conference and we rented Princess and the Frog that the kids loved. It was a wonderful weekend and now Zach is off on Spring Break I think we might go sledding with this crazy winter weather.
