Brother's Visit

This last weekend my Brother Mike and his family got together with us. They were up this way to see his wife's Tara's family and we were excited that they were able to squeeze a few days in for us. It has been 4 years since I had last saw them, way too long, so it was nice to finally reconnect and give the kids a chance to get to know them a little. I hope that it will not be another 4 years before we see each other again.

Trip to see Dad up north

Shay has started working up north and we sure miss him. Hopefully this will only last a few months I don't like being a single Mom during the week. However last week we decided to go up and visit him. It is very pretty up there I can see why so many people travel there from all over the world. However, the Mountains almost intimated me for my fear of Bears and Mountain Lions, I guess you just have to be careful and be prepared with guns etc when out and about in them. While we were there he took the kids fishing we didn't' catch anything but the kids had fun and I just loved looking at the beauty that surrounded us.

4th of July

Last weekend we broke our annual tradition of heading to Idaho for the 4th and instead suggested everyone come to our house. We had heard that fireworks are amazing were we are and that people don't leave on the 4th they come here. And now we all now why I have never seen anything like it. People here defiantly know how to do fireworks. The town display was amazing but it was all the side shows each night, Friday, Saturday and the biggest Sunday that was just amazing. Every direction we turned you could see large fireworks shooting off into the sky. Each place I have ever lived has something unique and special about it and I think this might be there's, the 4th of July festival.  It was especially fun having all of Shay's family with us, we felt bad that we did not have room for them all but I think they were happy to stay at a hotel with a pool. We enjoyed having the few that did stay at our house though. All in all it was a fantastic weekend and I'm so glad Shay's family decided to visit with us and make it all the more memorable.

Mom's visit

Last week My Mom came out to visit us for a week. We had such a great time it had been about 7 months since we had really seen her last and she has not spent much time with us at our new home, so it was fun showing her around. The kids loved playing games with her and staying up late, she and I were able to go shopping, thanks to my grandma for watching the kids, and she even babysat for us a few nights. I just wish she didn't have to go but we are hopeful it will be sooner than 7 months before we see her again.

Summer Time Sports

Golf Camp, Zach really enjoyed this even though a few days got canceled, due to bad weather
Steel did great with swim lessons and is catching on quick he is looking forward to taking some more next month
Zach did great with swimming too and if he keeps it up next summer will probably be the last time we even need to take them, if that
Zach loved T-Ball it was hard on Sophie, since it was during her nap twice a week but it was fun to see him progress and have fun

June Was a busy month for us and I got to learn what it was like to be a Soccer Mom, minus the soccer. I am not sure I liked all the running around but the kids had a great time being involved with all their activities and it was nice to at least have something to keep us occupied . Sophie was not sure about all the running around though.
